Sony Music México introduced on Thursday (Nov. 9) the launch of M4 Data, a label run by music government Manuel Cuevas, who has helped propel the careers of artists reminiscent of Carlos Rivera, Yuridia, Lila Downs, Filipa Giordano, Gilberto Santa Rosa and, extra not too long ago, regional Mexican singer Luis Ángel “El Flaco”.
“Manuel is an government with an awesome ardour for music, who for greater than 35 profitable years with Sony Music has demonstrated exemplary dedication,” Roberto López, president of Sony Music México, says in a press launch. “With all his expertise, now could be the perfect time for this subsequent step, during which M4 Data artists will profit from his distinctive expertise and vitality. I thank Manuel for his belief, and I’m positive that M4 Data shall be an awesome platform to spice up the careers of artists and create new success tales.”
“It’s a nice satisfaction for me to have the ability to proceed selling new expertise because of this new label created along with my Sony Music Mexico household,” provides Cuevas, who had been working in recent times as svp, gross sales & strategic advertising and marketing for Sony Music México.
The brand new label goals to develop music and initiatives of various genres that attain new markets, working hand in hand with Cuevas, who has helped create ideas reminiscent of Rock en tu Idioma Sinfónico; Pandora and Flans’ Inesperado Tour; Grupo Cañaveral and La Sonora Dinamita’s Juntos por la Cumbia; Tania Libertad, Eugenia León and Guadalupe Pineda’s Las Tres Grandes; along with the returns of Los Babys, Leo Dan and La Sonora Santanera.
On this challenge that simply begins, Cuevas is accompanied by his son José Manuel Cuevas, who already has a number of years of expertise creating artists within the city and regional Mexican genres.
