Iconic hip hop star Snoop Doggy Dog is now the proud owner of the infamous Deathrow Records. Snoop (50) started his career as an artist on the label 30 years ago as a protege of Dr. Dre on the hit single Deep Cover, a hit song off the soundtrack from the Bill Duke-directed feature film DEEP COVER. Snoop acquired the label from the Blackstone Group. As for Snoop’s former boss Suge Knight, they once were bumping heads but rekindled their friendship years ago.
