Louis Tomlinson shocked followers on Wednesday morning (Aug. 31) when he announced that his second studio album, Religion Within the Future, is ready to reach Nov. 11 — however that’s not all he had up his sleeves.
The star adopted up by revealing that the album’s first single, “Larger Than Me,” will likely be arriving on Thursday (Sept. 1) at 6 a.m. ET/3 a.m. PT. “This one is for all of you!” he wrote alongside a brief snippet of the track’s guitar-driven, acoustic instrumental.
“I’m so excited to lastly inform you that my new album Religion Within the Future is out eleventh November,” he wrote in his album announcement, shared to his social media accounts together with the 14-song observe record. “After residing with this album for some time I can’t look ahead to you all to listen to it.”
Religion Within the Future will mark Tomlinson’s second album launched as a solo artist, and follows his 2020 debut Partitions. That document peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard 200, and No. 4 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart. Tomlinson simply wrapped up his world tour in help of Partitions, performing in entrance of audiences in all places from the U.S., the U.Ok. and Europe to Australia.
As a member of One Direction, Tomlinson launched 5 studio albums alongside bandmates Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Liam Payne. 4 out of the 5 albums — 2011’s Up All Evening, 2012’s Take Me House, 2013’s Midnight Reminiscences and 2014’s 4 topped the all-genre Billboard 200 albums chart. 2015’s Made within the A.M., in the meantime, peaked at No. 2.
