Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash will be heard soloing on Michael Monroe’s new single “I Reside Too Quick to Die Younger.” It’s the title monitor from Monroe’s newest album, which is available now. You may watch the video under.
“This one began life as only a music title – a tongue-in-cheek nod to Vivienne Westwood’s ‘Too Quick to Reside, Too Younger to Die’ T-shirts after I had been gifted one by a fan in Japan,” guitarist Wealthy Jones stated in an announcement. “It’s a reference to Michael’s seemingly boundless power and the truth that he’s nonetheless kicking ass in spite of everything these years.”
Monroe added, “I really like reinventing outdated cliches. The entire ‘stay quick, die younger’ cliche is so boring, so I stay too quick to die younger! It takes extra to outlive and be right here right now than to self-destruct and die younger. … Slash is likely one of the nicest guys that I do know and certainly one of rock’s biggest guitarists, as he’s maintained the spontaneity, the human contact and the heartfelt kick-ass perspective in his enjoying. I figured this is able to be one for him to play a solo on. He stated he cherished the music and that it’s supercatchy.”
Jones described Slash’s contribution as “a completely ripping guitar solo” and stated it has turn out to be a favourite throughout the band’s exhibits. They start a U.K. tour with the Black Star Riders on Feb. 13, with a run of Finnish dates to observe.
