Scorching off the success of her viral hit “What It Is (Block Boy),” Doechii is again with one other new tune and video, “Pacer.” This time, she employs a punky, yell-rap model over a blaring, industrial type of beat that sound like a pc glitch within the apocalypse, declaring herself a rock star. The video employs some BDSM-inspired goth aesthetics, trying a bit like a cross between The Matrix and Hellraiser. Doechii’s fearless embrace of eye-popping avant-garde appears is on full show, exhibiting she’s nonetheless going all-out in her efforts to be acknowledged as the subsequent massive factor in rap.
