Axl Rose Pays Tribute to Dan McCafferty of Nazareth


Guns N’ Roses‘ Axl Rose paid tribute to Nazareth vocalist Dan McCafferty on Twitter over the weekend. In a tweet final Saturday night time (Nov. 19,) Rose mentioned after studying about the death of McCafferty, he went to a “surreal headspace” whereas onstage.

McCafferty, the unique and longtime vocalist for Nazareth, handed away at 76
on Tuesday, Nov. 8. Rose’s tweet famous that he discovered about his loss of life a day after,  whereas the band was on their Asian tour swing.

“A Large Thank You to all of the followers for making r Asian 2022 tour successful!! The fan response in each venue was distinctive n’ particular!” Rose tweets. “Japan, Thailand n’ Singapore!!”

Then Rose wrote about how a lot of a fan he was of Nazareth and McCafferty, who had string of profitable albums within the ’70’s and 80’s. Their 1974 cowl of “Love Hurts” was their hottest hit.

“Have not addressed this… been a troublesome tablet to swallow,” Rose continues. “Very, very unhappy to be taught of the passing of Dan McCafferty of Nazareth. I discovered a day or so after rt b4 r present. Was in a little bit of a surreal headspace on stage for a number of songs. Went on a Nazareth binge for just a few days. Thanks Dan n’ all of Nazareth for all of the music over time. Their music n’ Dan’s voice will at all times have a particular place in my coronary heart. Relaxation in peace Dan.”

Gun’s ‘N’ Roses would have performed Bangkok, Thailand the day after McCafferty died, which means Axl was within the “surreal headspace” throughout that present. And Rose then binged Nazareth till proper round G ‘N’ R performed Singapore just a few days later.

Rose and the band can be jamming round Australia for the subsequent few days, Brisbane tomorrow (Nov. 22,) then spending Thanksgiving in Gold Coast and hitting up Sydney in the direction of the top of the month.
