On Wednesday, April 16th, the Madlove LA tribute event took over the Echoplex in Echo Park, Los Angeles. The night was filled with energy and passion for hip-hop culture. Back in January, Los Angeles County faced a tragedy when fires broke out, deeply affecting many residents. Legendary producer Madlib was among those impacted by the incident. In response, Madlove organized an electric event featuring performances from Wild Child, Oh No, Corn Bread, Phil the Agony, Krondon, MED, Tash (of Tha Alkaholiks), Pink Siifu, Jay Worthy, Evidence, Planet Asia, and Montage One. DJs and producers like The Alchemist, Daru Jones, DJ Romes, J. Rocc, House Shows, Dj Spinna and Rhettmatic also lit up the stage. The event wasn’t just a show of support for Madlib, but also for others affected by the January fires. The night was hosted by Sway and Wild Child.
