Congratulations to My Chemical Romance – their scene-defining 2004 single ‘Helena’ has been certified 4x Platinum in the US.

Taken from their 2004 album ‘Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge’, it’s not the only achievement being chalked up for the emo icons’ classic record either.

‘I’m Not Okay (I Promise)’ has also been certified 3x Platinum, whilst ‘The Ghost Of You’ has achieved its first Platinum status. They’ve also scored two new Gold certifications for ‘Thank You For The Venom’ and ‘You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison’.

The news comes shortly after My Chemical Romance announced a re-release of ‘Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge’, arriving on June 06 via Reprise Records.

With all songs newly mixed by Rich Costey, it also come with four bonus live tracks – ‘I’m Not Okay (I Promise)’, ‘Helena’, ‘The Ghost Of You’ and ‘You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison’ – originally recorded in 2005 for BBC Radio 1’s The Lock Up Show.
